Our Front Door

This is my first real post on this blog. I had a blog (audaciouslybarefoot.blogspot.com) for years but stopped posting a few years back. This past year has brought a lot of changes for me in my lifestyle and creativity. I have found myself in a position where I no longer need to work so I can devote a ton of time to digging deeper into my creativity and truly discover/uncover what it is I want to create and in what manner. I’ve been exploring sculpture, assemblage, painting, mixed media, jewelry, soldering and of course photography. It has all been very exciting and challenging, reminds me a bit of falling down a rabbit hole as I find more and more that I want to try out and explore, hence I have a ton of half finished projects, and many that are in the back burner of my mind.

I was reluctant to begin a blog because I truly want to create for me and ween myself from outside approval (not so easy after years of Marine Corps indoctrination), but it just keeps calling to me and I love reading other blogs and I guess my desire for this blog is to share and connect to others who are pursuing a juicier way of living.

So after hours that turned into days, I think I sort of figured out a template and style that works for me, at least for now.  I look forward to this new journey and all that I will learn and all whom I will connect with along the way.
